Tim Green Information Tim Green is a multimedia artist who has explored themes of memory, loss and desire through film, sculpture, photography and painting over the last 30 years. Having grown up in the Forest of Dean, Tim often explores the rich natural landscape of the area through his quirky, whimsical and sometimes autobiographical pieces, placing his own life and experiences firmly at the centre of his work. Past photography exhibitions have featured the disappearing world of vintage petrol pumps, alternative views of the Forest and the secret life of gargoyles. Tim’s sculpture has focused on taking found pieces of machinery or tools and repurposing the objects as surrealist visual (and textual) puns. More recently Tim has produced a series of short films, reinterpreting creation myths and ancient legends in an attempt to make sense of an increasingly insensible world. His regular ‘Taste of Home’ short film nights at Gloucester Guildhall arts centre have provided a platform for his own film work, and have also showcased the work of other filmmakers living and working in Gloucestershire. |
